HOW TO MB-1 BRAKE

Simple brake to install and is probably the better
of the manuel disc brakes on the market.
To install this set up you will need a weld on frame
brake bracket welded in place as shown
Typical installation of MB-1
Parts needed for this install
1 weld on frame bracket
1 mb-1 caliper
1 caliper C bracket
1 rotor
1 step retainer
1 3" return spring
1 brake pin
1 cable stop
1 brake cable
All parts shown are available in our brake page
Please note when you weld on the frame bracket
it must be positioned for the size of rotor used
Please Note The assembly instructions are for general installation and may
very from racer to racer . Parts shown may differ as illustrated
The MB-1 caliper is a floating caliper and must slide in the bracket freely to work
properly. see FIG 2
To install brake cable the black outer sheathing must be shorten about 2" .
To do this remove the inner cable and then cut the outer sheathing to desired
length ( it is better to make 2 short cuts than one long cut so not to make the
sheathing to short FIG 3
1: Install the cable stop FIG 1
2: install brake pin into bottom hole in brake leaver using 1/4" bolt ( do not
tighten the bolt yet)
3; Insert cable into the cable stop, then into the brake pin FIG 1
FIG 4 is the order of the parts you are installing
